Jami Delia

Intro:

Jami Delia enjoys upcycling, reclaiming and refurbishing furniture and finding new purposes and uses for old items. She is an avid thrift store, clearance rack and roadside shopper who knows how to find the best deals and biggest discounts.

Experience:

Jami is a writer, editor and all around do-it-yourselfer. At age 12, she began refurbishing her hand-me-down bedroom furniture after watching an episode of an early 1990s DIY show. Through trial and error, countless tutorials and the help and guidance of her grandfather, she has continued refurbishing others’ trash into treasures for the past 17 years. Her how-to and informational articles have appeared in various online publications and blogs, such as eHow.com and Examiner.com. She is also a professional writer and editor for an international corporation.

Education:

Jami earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in creative writing and journalism from the University of Miami, which allowed her to explore her passion for writing and strengthen her skills as a reporter, editor and presenter of information.

From Jami Delia:

Whether you’ve never touched a paintbrush or you know how to work a sander like a pro, I’ll guide you through each step in the refurbishing process and give you ideas for your next project. Refurbishing old, recyclable or thrown away items is not just about saving a few dollars, but also about creating something unique to proudly display in or outside of your home. So, what are you waiting for? Grab a pair of gloves, some spray paint and a little elbow grease, and let’s go!
